Unlocatable Repair/Damage Prevention Specialist

What You Bring to SAM

• Valid driver's license, in conjunction with successfully passing the company MVR requirements, clean background check and drug screening
• Work outdoors under the full range of weather conditions typically experienced throughout all seasons of the year
• Ability to walk for extended periods over irregular terrain while carrying and/or employing any of the full range of surface geophysical and surveying equipment
• Pick up and carry equipment, tools or supplies weighing up to 50 lbs. for short distances and assist others to do the same
• This includes the loading and unloading of such items into and out of vehicles, storage areas, etc.
• Remove and replace manhole lids and covers weighing up 50 lbs., with assistance

Your Impact at SAM

• Absorb and mark/unmark utilities and structures in the field
• Perform operator level maintenance on assigned company tools and equipment as required
• Auxiliary in the implementation of approved traffic control plans
• Actively work toward obtaining Operator Qualifications required by the client(s)
• Follow established procedures to identify and repair broken trace wires on unlocatable gas lines
• Operate vacuum truck and related tools and equipment such as a jackhammer, pogo-tamper, concrete saw, compressor blower, vacuum hose and air lance and hand tools (shovels)
• Use proper forms and survey equipment to document work
• Other tasks as assigned
