University Representative
About the role
The University Representative at Bob Jones University serves as a relationship-focused member of a territory-based recruitment team, working in tandem with the senior team lead and under the leadership of the Assistant Director of Outreach. This role supports the strategic development of an assigned territory by building relationships with prospective students, families, churches, Christian schools, homeschool communities, and other aligned influencers while helping strengthen the university’s long-term enrollment pipeline. The University Representative combines student recruitment responsibilities with territory relationship support through consistent communication, follow-up, travel, event participation, and partnership stewardship.
Responsibilities
- Leverage every interaction and opportunity to encourage prospective students to take the next step toward applying and enrolling at the university.
- Communicate BJU’s mission, academic offerings, and student experience effectively.
- Encourage and facilitate campus visits, event participation, and ongoing engagement opportunities.
- Maintain accurate and timely communication records within Slate (CRM).
- Support the senior team lead in strengthening relationships with churches, Christian schools, homeschool organizations, alumni, and ministry partners.
- Aid in maintaining regular communication and stewardship with strategic territory relationships.
- Help identify opportunities for new ministry and school connections within the territory.
- Participate in territory outreach and relationship-development initiatives designed to strengthen long-term enrollment pipelines.
- Represent BJU at recruiting events, school visits, conferences, church events, and ministry functions.
- Support territory travel, outreach efforts, and strategic recruitment initiatives.
- Assist with major university recruitment events as needed.
- Work closely with the regional team lead and admission counselors to support territory goals and enrollment objectives.
- Collaborate with admissions leadership and university departments to create a strong student experience.
- Contribute to a team culture focused on responsiveness, professionalism, relationship excellence, and mission alignment.
Requirements
An applicant must be a born-again Christian who has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Employees are to be active members of a local Bible believing church which holds orthodox theology.
