Requires a relevant Master’s Degree in Social Work. Ohio Social Work Licensure preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develop and sustain partnerships with Public Children Services Agencies (PCSAs) and explore new opportunities to meet workforce training needs.
- Recruit, train, and support UPP field instructors and consult with PCSAs to ensure agencies are prepared to host student placements and transition graduates into employment.
- Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of field placements to ensure quality training outcomes.
- Administer and coordinate student contracts with the Ohio Department of Children and Youth (DCY), including authorization of stipend payments for students who meet contractual obligations.
- Support post-graduation job placement and participate in the State of Ohio UPP Management Team, contributing to statewide quality improvement initiatives.
- Serve as the faculty liaison for students enrolled in a UPP field placement.
- Provide instruction and deliver the standardized child welfare curriculum aligned with the Ohio Child Welfare Training Program CORE Training 2.0, including courses:
- SOWK 451/657: Child Welfare I
- SOWK 472/658: Child Welfare II
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a social worker in Child Welfare, preferably with Public Children Service Agency (PCSA); 4 years preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Job is physically comfortable; individual is normally seated and has discretion about walking, standing, etc.
- May occasionally lift very lightweight objects.
Working Conditions
- Standard working environment with possible minor inconveniences due to occasional noise, crowded working conditions, minor heating/cooling or ventilation problems.
- Up to 40% use of PC terminal.
