About the role

As the Academic Partnerships Coordinator, you will support the strategic development and operational execution of academic partnerships within the division. You will ensure a seamless experience of connecting faculty/instructors and student onboarding, orientation processes, and clinical rotation coordination of schedules. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate records related to affiliation agreements and support Central Texas Healthcare Academy, assisting with industry engagement opportunities, while building and maintaining partnerships across teams. You will be responsible for accurate data entry, routine data analytics maintenance, and the generation of standard reports to support the effective management of pipeline academic partnerships and contribute to a positive learning environment. You will collaborate closely with academic partners and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operational flow and contribute to future workforce development for nursing and allied health professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee externship implementation and operational oversight
  • Report grant required objectives for outreach experiences
  • Contribute to the development of superior student clinical experience and a culture-of-excellence
  • Assist with providing access to industry-leading education and career development opportunities to positively impact patient care
  • Coordinate the day-to-day operations of academic partnerships that may include coordination of middle school and high school and allied health student placement and schedules and facilitate communication with leadership and employees
  • Conduct student and faculty orientation and tours
  • Assume accountability for promoting consistent, positive patient interactions that advance the agenda of unparalleled patient service
  • Develop an understanding of hospital work schedules, availability, and time-commitment requirements, while maximizing experience and efficiency for both staff and students
  • Maintain a service-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary
  • Support the development and implementation of strategies to elevate patient and student experience
  • Promote consistent positive interactions that advance the agenda of unparalleled patient service through academic partnerships
  • Develop strong public speaking skills
  • Represent the organization positively within the community; participates in company-supported community/student events
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in internal or external customer satisfaction
  • Collaborate with Central Texas Healthcare Academy workgroup and Workforce Solutions K-12 sector
  • Create a supportive clinical learning experience for all students and bridge the gap between students' expectations and experiences
  • Identify, attract and capture healthcare students into externship/internships and Central Texas Healthcare Academy
  • Drive strategic tactics to increase healthcare student pipelines, workforce development programs, and reduce contract labor in clinical roles

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in healthcare, business, education, or related field
  • One year's experience in hospital setting
  • Experience with academic partnerships and healthcare cross-team collaboration – preferred
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite – preferred
