Universal Worker - Part-Time -- Overnight Shift. Eventide Heartland Courts Senior Living Apartments!
Job Summary
Eventide Heartland Courts Senior Living Apartments in Devils Lake is seeking a Part-Time Universal Worker/CNA to work the overnight shift (10 pm-6:30 am). This is a 16-hour per pay period position, every other weekend rotation as well as a holiday rotation. "No CNA Certification? No Problem! Eventide will cover the cost of your class and test fees to help you earn your CNA certification."
Compensation and Benefits
$2 an hour evening/overnight shift differentials and part-time 7 percent premium pay available!
Compensation: At Eventide, we value our employees and offer a competitive pay range of $18-$20.16 for Universal Worker/CNA per hour based on qualifications, experience, and location. Shift premiums and differentials are also available, for select positions, paid on employment status and shift worked.

Essential Job Duties
- Assists tenants with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Assists tenants with ambulation and/or therapeutic exercises.
- Observes and/or assists with medications that may have been ordinarily self-administered. May give oral and trans-dermal medications, patches, eye drops, topical ointments, and suppositories under the direction of the nurse.
- Reads and records temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, and weight.
- Provides adequate nutrition and fluid intake through meal preparation.
- Provides tenants with emotional and cognitive support. Socializes with tenants. Listens, converses, and participates in appropriate activities – reading mail, writing letters, etc.
- Gives guidance, redirection, and re-orientation to tenants as needed.
- Develops a rapport with tenants and families to develop an understanding of the needs and interests.
- Documents in tenant records as instructed and in a timely manner.
- Participates in the development, implementation and review of tenant’s plan of care.
- Recognizes and reports significant changes in the tenant’s health, behavior and/or general appearance to the nurse.
- Complies with infection control policies and procedures.
- Recognizes emergencies and carries out emergency procedures according to policy.
- Promptly reports any occurrences of physical or mental abuse or potential for vulnerable adult reports to supervisor.
- Reviews communication notes at the start of each shift to stay informed of changes that may have occurred.
- Cleans apartments, service areas, and common areas.
- Sorts, washes, dries, and folds personal clothing and linens.
- Restocks supplies as needed.
- Assists with serving meals in dining room.
- Performs pet care per policy.
Qualifications
- A current ND CNA license or be able to obtain upon hire.
- A current ND MA I license or be able to obtain upon hire.
- Trained and passed Eventide’s Home Health Aide (HHA) competency training and test administered by Eventide.
- Currently in good standing on all nursing assistant registries in which you have been placed in the U.S.
