Universal Worker II (Medication Aide) - PRN (As Needed) - Eventide Prairie Commons Senior Living

About the role

The position requires 24 hours per month, with 16 hours on weekends and one holiday rotation annually.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting, transferring/ambulation, and continence.
• Aids in senior/client admissions, discharges, transfers, and orientation of new employees.
• Follows department protocol for submitting completed documentation.
• Prioritizes assignments to meet frequently changing needs, including responding to call lights.
• Works within the assigned work environment related to the position, as directed by Eventide.
• Complies with HIPAA regulations to ensure the protection of Protected Health Information (PHI).

Requirements

• At least 18 years old.
• A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• At least 6 months of experience as an aide or caregiver is preferred.
• A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is required.
• A Medication Aide (MA) certification is required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Skills

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and prioritize tasks.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
