Medication Aide (CNA required) - PRN (As Needed) - Eventide Prairie Commons

About the role

The Medication Aide position is currently open at Eventide Prairie Commons in Grand Island. The position is part-time, requiring at least 24 hours a month with 16 of those hours on weekends. One required holiday per year is also expected.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting, transferring/ambulation and continence.
• Affords assistance with Senior/client admissions, discharges, transfers and orientation of new employees.
• Follows department protocol for submission of completed documentation.
• Prioritizes assignments, making adjustments throughout shift to meet frequently changing/overlapping Senior/client/caregiver/TEAMember/manager needs, call lights, when necessary.
• Performs work duties within the assigned work environment related to the position, as assigned by Eventide, regardless of TEAMember preference.
• Follows through on the comprehensive care plan/service plan as developed for each individual senior/client.
• Complies with HIPAA regulations regarding privacy by ensuring that Protected Health Information (PHI) is safeguarded at all times.
• Additional essential functions while utilizing a MA40:
• Prepares and administers medications and treatments, under the direction of the RN, within scope of practice as ordered by the physician and according to facility policies/procedures.

Requirements

• Active, good-standing MA40 and CNA license required.
• 18 years of age or older.
• A High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 6 months experience as an aide or caregiver preferred.
• Active CNA license in the state of NE required.
• Active MA40 license in the state of NE required.

Compensation

Eventide offers a competitive starting pay range of $19.00-$21.28 per hour for MA's based on qualifications, experience, and location. Shift premiums and differentials are also available, for select positions, paid on employment status and shift worked.
