Eventide Fargo Senior Living is seeking a Part-Time Universal Worker/CNA for the Day Shift (8 am to 12 pm, Tuesday & Thursday) with a holiday rotation. This is a shower aide position. A CMA I License is required, and a 7% part-time shift differential is added to the base wage.

About the Role

The Universal Worker provides high-quality and safe personal care assistance to senior living tenants, consistent with federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, as well as Eventide’s philosophy, policies, and procedures. Responsibilities include housekeeping, laundry, medication administration, and life enrichment activities. Experience with medication administration is preferred, but training will be provided for the right candidate.

Requirements

  • Current ND CNA license or ability to obtain upon hire
  • Current ND MA I license or ability to obtain upon hire
  • Must complete and pass Eventide’s Home Health Aide (HHA) competency training and test
  • Good standing on all nursing assistant registries in the U.S.
  • Current CPR/BLS (or approved equivalency) license

Responsibilities

  • Assists tenants with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assists tenants with ambulation and/or therapeutic exercises
  • Observes and/or assists with medications that may have been ordinarily self-administered; administers oral and trans-dermal medications, patches, eye drops, topical ointments, and suppositories under nurse direction
  • Reads and records temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, and weight
  • Provides adequate nutrition and fluid intake through meal preparation
  • Performs blood sugar testing and documents results
  • Provides tenants with emotional and cognitive support
  • Socializes with tenants, engages in activities (e.g., reading mail, writing letters), and offers guidance, redirection, and re-orientation as needed
  • Develops rapport with tenants and families to understand needs and interests
  • Documents in tenant records as instructed and in a timely manner
  • Participates in the development, implementation, and review of tenant’s plan of care
  • Recognizes and reports significant changes in tenant’s health, behavior, or general appearance to the nurse
  • Complies with infection control policies and procedures
  • Recognizes emergencies and carries out emergency procedures according to policy
  • Reports occurrences of physical or mental abuse or potential vulnerable adult reports to supervisor
  • Reviews communication notes at the start of each shift to stay informed of changes
  • Cleans apartments, service areas, and common areas
  • Sorts, washes, dries, and folds personal clothing and linens
  • Re-stocks supplies as needed
  • Assists with serving meals in the dining room
  • Performs pet care per policy

Pay

Competitive pay range of $18–$20.16 per hour based on qualifications, experience, and location. Shift premiums and differentials are available for select positions.
