About the role

The Universal Branch Representative performs the duties of both a Teller and Member Service Representative, delivering an exceptional member experience while supporting branch sales and service strategies.

Responsibilities

The role involves a combination of Teller and Member Service Representative responsibilities, including:

• Establishing member relationships through quality service and cross-selling products/services
• Handling transactions accurately and exercising good judgment
• Performing paying and receiving functions with accurate balancing and reporting
• Disbursing cash accurately and maintaining a cash drawer
• Assisting in reconciling errors or discrepancies
• Evaluating member needs and making referrals to Member Service Representatives
• Opening memberships and deposit accounts
• Providing assistance and maintenance on deposit and loan accounts
• Assessing member financial needs to identify cross-sell opportunities
• Engaging members in a professional and courteous manner
• Demonstrating leadership skills to self-manage and guide co-workers
• Answering member inquiries and cross-selling products and services
• Handling member transactions quickly and efficiently
• Building and retaining member relationships through follow-up and courtesy calls

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

• A thorough understanding of products and services offered by financial institutions
• Satisfactory computer skills
• Positive and effective communication and public relations skills
• Cross-selling, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
• Sound judgment and ability to handle difficult situations
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and maintain a professional appearance and manner

Qualifications

The minimum requirements for this role are:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Some college education or business courses preferred
• Customer/member service experience, preferably at a financial institution
• Cash handling/business experience at a financial institution
• Knowledge of TCD transaction and settlement procedures

Physical Requirements

This job requires the ability to sit and stand for long periods of time, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds and/or up to 30 pounds frequently.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $55,767 - $61,603.
