About the role

Potomac Bank is seeking a Universal Banker I who can provide exceptional customer service, manage multiple tasks, and promote bank products.

Responsibilities

• Interact with the public and resolve their questions or problems.
• Process various banking transactions including deposits, withdrawals, and checks.
• Handle customer complaints and ensure they are resolved promptly.
• Manage cash drawers, ATMs, and night drop bags.
• Open and maintain consumer checking and savings accounts.
• Complete wire transfers and Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs).
• Oversee the issuance of cashier’s checks and money orders.
• Assist with ATM balancing duties.
• Maintain a secure work area and adhere to security protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of prior customer service experience.
• Outgoing personality with strong communication and customer service skills.
• Basic to advanced computer skills.
• Knowledge of bank operations and familiarity with bank products and services.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic arithmetic skills.
• Basic computer skills including operating a computer, printer, and copy machine.
• Ability to read and interpret documents and follow instructions.
• Ability to communicate clearly and write legibly.
• Ability to answer telephones and greet the public courteously.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems using sound judgment.
