Job Overview
Nizari PFCU seeks a highly motivated, experienced Universal Banker for its Austin locations. The role involves maintaining relationships with members to help them achieve their financial goals, identifying their financial needs, and offering appropriate solutions like opening new accounts, processing and funding loans, and assisting with investments. The primary goal is to deliver exceptional member service while meeting sales targets and promoting the credit union’s products and services. Must be a team player and work closely with other team members to ensure adherence to credit union policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Ensures services are provided in accordance with established Credit Union policies and are legally compliant.
- Ensures proper documentation of interviews and service requests.
- Provides exemplary member service by professionally identifying opportunities to improve the member's financial well-being.
- Accountable for the personal achievement of monthly new accounts and loan production as assigned by management.
- Process loan applications and support all clerical functions for a loan in accordance with credit union procedures.
- Process deposits and pay out funds in accordance with credit union procedures, accurately recording all transactions and balancing each day's operations.
- Receive cash and checks for deposit, verify amounts, and look for check endorsements.
- Examine cash carefully to guard against acceptance of counterfeit checks.
- Accurately process teller transactions and issue customer receipts.
- Cross-sell bank services and products.
- Perform other tasks requested by supervisors as they relate to the credit union and its functions.
- Attend and represent Nizari PFCU at events and trade shows.
Qualifications and Experience Required
- Four-year degree in Accounting/Finance
- Previous experience with a full-service financial institution preferred
- Good organizational skills and attentive to detail
- Proficient typing abilities
- Able to operate related computer applications and related business equipment, including telephone, calculator, etc.
- Cooperative, able to coordinate well with others
