Job Duties
- Work with collaboratory teams to investigate spatial biology using advanced statistical modeling for regional to cellular analysis incorporating mass spectrometry imaging modalities.
- Develop and validate machine learning algorithms from complex molecular signatures.
- Collaborate with multiple labs and commercial labs for image data integration, processing, and modeling.
- Familiar with verification and validation procedures to ensure appropriate modeling.
- Analyze large datasets for patterns, trends and relationships.
- Communicate findings to collaboratory teams through presentations.
- Train students or visiting scholars in use of data visualization analysis.
- Maintain equipment.
- Keep the lab safe, clean and compliant by following PPE and MUSC guidelines for safety in the laboratory.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, or other natural, life or health care science directly related to the assigned area of research and two years advanced journel-level work experience in a clinical or research setting.
- Experience in one or more of the following: Microscopy, high throughput cell assays, westerns, qRT-PCR, cell culture, proteomics, mass spectrometry.
