About the role

The Department of Urology at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is seeking a Pediatric Urologist to join our growing Department. Among the top programs in the country, MUSC Pediatric Urology operates within the Department of Urology and offers a comprehensive selection of services.

Responsibilities

  • Inpatient and Outpatient Clinical responsibilities
  • Access to Da Vinci Robotics
  • Interests in Research and Program Development
  • The opportunity to develop a Pediatric Urology Fellowship along with supervision and teaching of residents and medical students
  • Provide care in the Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital, a 250-bed facility with a full range of pediatric medical and surgical subspecialties
  • Hold outpatient clinics at the state-of-the-art pediatrics subspecialty Summey Medical Pavilion in North Charleston
  • Train the next generation of young physicians in the Urology Residency Program, which includes 15 residents and 2 fellows

Requirements

  • Eligibility for medical licensure in the State of South Carolina
  • Board certification in Urology
  • Subspecialty certification/eligibility in Pediatric Urology

Qualifications

  • M.D. or Equivalent Degree

  • Ability to maintain 20/40 vision, corrected, in one eye or with both eyes
  • Ability to see and recognize objects close at hand
  • Ability to see and recognize objects at a distance
  • Ability to determine distance/relationship between objects; depth perception
  • Good peripheral vision capabilities
  • Ability to maintain hearing acuity, with correction
  • Ability to perform gross motor functions with frequent fine motor movements
