About the role
The STAR Trauma Department is seeking an Assistant to support trauma-related operations and program activities. This position works closely with clinical and administrative teams to ensure effective coordination of trauma services.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily trauma program operations and administrative functions
- Maintain accurate patient records and trauma registry data
- Assist with quality improvement initiatives and performance monitoring
- Support trauma team meetings, conferences, and educational activities
- Prepare reports, correspondence, and program documentation
- Facilitate communication between clinical staff, departments, and external partners
- Manage scheduling, supplies, and resource coordination for the trauma program
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two years of administrative or program support experience
- Experience in a healthcare or clinical setting
- Proficiency with electronic health records and Microsoft Office suite
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
- Familiarity with trauma registry systems or quality improvement processes
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
