Job Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Unit Secretary PRN at HCA Florida Palms West Hospital. This role is part of the nation's leading provider of healthcare services, HCA Healthcare.
Key Responsibilities
Reception and Communication: Greet patients and visitors, manage communication, and maintain patient records.
Patient Chart Management: Manage patient charts, handle communication, and ensure patient information is accurate and up-to-date.
Clerical Support: Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing inventory, and maintaining office supplies.
Patient-Centered Care: Assist the patient care team, ensuring a safe and organized environment for patients and staff.
Maintaining a Safe and Organized Environment: Ensure the unit is clean, organized, and equipped with necessary supplies.
Clerical and Organizational Skills: Maintain accurate and organized records, follow procedures, and adhere to policies.
Communication Skills: Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and staff, using clear and concise language.
Customer Service Skills: Provide excellent customer service, demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
Computer Skills: Utilize computer systems, particularly EXCEL, to manage patient data and perform administrative tasks.
Qualifications
A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
Healthcare experience and/or medical terminology knowledge is strongly preferred.

HCA Florida Palms West Hospital is a 204-bed facility in Palm Beach County. We offer preventative and elective programs and surgeries. We are an Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) Primary Stroke Center. HCA Florida Palms West Hospital has emergency services, a dedicated New Life Center, and a Level II NICU. We have a full-service Children’s Hospital. Services include outpatient rehabilitation, an aquatics center, orthopedic spine center, robotics, and interventional radiology. HCA Florida Palms West Hospital is located on a 94-acre campus in Palm Beach County. The surrounding areas include Wellington, Royal Palm Beach, and Loxahatchee.
