Job Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Unit Secretary PRN at HCA Florida Palms West Hospital. This position is part of the nation's leading provider of healthcare services, HCA Healthcare.
Key Responsibilities
Reception and Communication: Greet patients and visitors, manage communication, and handle inquiries.
Patient Chart Management: Manage patient charts, maintain accurate records, and ensure confidentiality.
Clerical Support: Handle administrative tasks, maintain office supplies, and organize patient information.
Patient-Centered Care: Assist the patient care team, provide support, and ensure a positive patient experience.
Maintaining a Safe and Organized Environment: Ensure the unit is clean, organized, and safe for patients and staff.
Clerical and Organizational Skills: Demonstrate strong organizational and clerical skills to support the unit's operations.
Communication Skills: Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and staff to ensure smooth operations.
Customer Service Skills: Provide exceptional customer service to patients and visitors, ensuring their needs are met promptly.
Computer Skills: Utilize computer systems, particularly Excel, to manage patient data and perform administrative tasks.
Qualifications
A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
Healthcare experience and/or medical terminology knowledge is strongly preferred.

HCA Florida Palms West Hospital is a 204-bed facility in Palm Beach County. It offers preventative and elective programs and surgeries, and is an AHCA Primary Stroke Center. The hospital has emergency services, a dedicated New Life Center, and a Level II NICU. It also has a full-service Children’s Hospital, an aquatics center, orthopedic spine center, robotics, and interventional radiology services.
