Unit Secretary - FT
Position Purpose
St. Mary's is looking for an experienced and compassionate Unit Secretary to work within the critical Care Departments.
What You Will Do
- The Unit Secretary supports the assigned unit by facilitating communication with patients, staff, physicians, visitors and ancillary departments.
- The Unit Secretary directs incoming calls and responds to patient calls.
- The Unit Secretary enters physician's orders in the Information System.
- The Unit Secretary maintains patient's charts, unit files and secretarial supply levels.
- The Unit Secretary is responsible for maintaining a safe and orderly environment.
What You Will Need
- Licensure/Certification/Registration: Nursing Assistant certification preferred. BLS, through American Heart Association, required at time of hire.
- Education: Must be a high school graduate or have GED equivalent.
- Experience: Hospital or Clinical experience preferred.
