Summary of Performance Expectations
Performs a variety of organizational, administrative, and care-giving functions within the Emergency Department, incorporating principles of growth and development across the lifespan.
Required: Education and Credentials
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer application skills
- BCLS certification (from the American Heart Association or equivalent within three months of employment)
- Nurse Aide I or II listing with the Nurse Aide Registry at the NC Division of Facility Services and/or NC Board of Nursing (as applicable)
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certification within six months of employment
- May perform Phlebotomy if certified

- May perform Phlebotomy if certified
Work Experience
No previous experience required. Incumbents will receive training and on-the-job experience to become proficient within three months of employment.
