Position Summary
The Certified Nursing Assistant II performs specific responsibilities under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse. Functions within the framework of the NAII listing granted by the NC Board of Nursing. Practices within the philosophy and goals of patient care services.
Minimum Requirements
- De-escalation training (Non-violent crisis intervention or other de-escalation program adopted by ECU Health)
- If not current at the time of hire, must complete within 90 days of employment and maintain without lapse during employment
This is not required for Ambulatory clinical positions.

In addition to providing general medical and surgical services, ECU Health Duplin Hospital offers chemotherapy and other cancer infusion interventions and has earned national designation as a Primary Stroke Center.
