Pay
Compensation range: $22.46 – $33.97 per hour, based on experience (entry-level through 15+ years). Eligible positions may qualify for additional differentials:
- Licensed Positions:
- Night Shift (NOC, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM): +$3.50/hour
- Weekend Shift (12:00 AM Saturday – 11:59 PM Sunday): +$3.00/hour
- Non-Licensed Positions:
- Night Shift (NOC, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM): +$3.00/hour
- Weekend Shift (12:00 AM Saturday – 11:59 PM Sunday): +$2.00/hour
About the Role
Performs secretarial duties to support optimal hospital unit function. Conducts outpatient EKGs, Zio Patch placement, and employee Fit Testing. Maintains an organized healthcare setting, enabling medical and nursing staff to focus on patient care. Facilitates communication between patients and clinical staff.
Responsibilities
- Accurately enters and scans orders in the computer system.
- Answers telephones professionally and promptly.
- Assists with registration, billing, and insurance authorization as needed.
- Schedules appointments and arranges transportation.
- Familiar with hospital Policies, Procedures, and Protocols.
- Ensures care and documentation meet current standards of practice and comply with guidelines.
- Performs other duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational effectiveness in alignment with Curry Health Network’s Mission, Vision, and Shared Values.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work closely with others; excellent communication and listening skills.
- Strong organizational and prioritization abilities; critical multitasking and time management skills.
- Understanding of medical terminology and hospital department workflows.
