Position Highlights

Position: Unit Secretary
Location: Arlington Heights
Hours: 1p to 6:30p M-F (Part Time)

What You Will Do

  • Reporting to the clinical manager or designee, with accountability to the other caregivers enters department specific patient treatments/charges to facilitate management of the patient healthcare record.
  • Affords assistance to the care team in coordinating patient activities and services.
  • Affords assistance in coordinating communication and resources between the care team, physicians, patients and family members.
  • In ancillary areas, may coordinate and schedule department specific patient procedures in the hospital’s scheduling system.

What You Will Need

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • Unique or Preferred Skills: Minimum one-year data or order entry experience using a computer preferred.
    Computer literacy and experience with PC applications.
    Experience working in a healthcare setting and knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
