Unit Secretary - 24 hours days, Emergency Room
Description
Position Purpose: At Johnson Memorial Hospital the Unit Secretary is responsible for coordinating patient flow on the unit and providing clerical support to the unit.
What You Will Do
- Cookierent patient flow on the unit
- Process patient orders
- Prepare and disassemble patient charts
- Prepare forms and documents required for patient care
- Communicate unit related and/or patient related needs to other departments and healthcare team members
- Request and obtain supplies and equipment
- Answer phones and greet visitors
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Minimum of a high school diploma or GED. Business school or Associate Degree in Business preferred.
- Certification: Certification as a Healthcare Unit Coordinator (HUC) preferred.
- Ability to pass drug screening and background checks
