Employment Type:Part timeShift:12 Hour Day ShiftDescription:Position PurposeAt Johnson Memorial Hospital the Unit Secretary is responsible for coordinating patient flow on the unit and provides clerical support to the unit. What you will doCoordinate patient flow on the unitProcess patient ordersPrepares and disassembles patient chartsPrepares forms and documents required for patient careCommunicates unit related and/or patient related needs to other departments and healthcare team membersRequest and obtain supplies and equipmentAnswer phones and greeting visitors Minimum QualificationsEducation: Minimum of a high school diploma or GED. Business school or Associate Degree in Business preferred.Certification: Certification as a Healthcare Unit Coordinator (HUC) preferred. Pay Range: $17.50 - $23.80 Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
