About the role

As a Unit Plant Manager for O-I you will manage the total operation of the production lines of an assigned furnace on a 24 hour / 7 day a week basis through the line management system and continuous shift operation to maximize production performance within established safety, quality and cost parameters.

  • Drive the plant furnace to achieve the key performance goals (Safety, Quality, Total Best Cost, Productivity, and Flexibility)
  • Promote a Manufacturing Excellence culture and continuous improvement
  • Conduct production meetings and sponsor morning TPC meetings
  • Lead and manage projects
  • Successfully meet plant KPI’s

Requirements

  • Proven management and continuous improvement skills
  • Ability to collaborate with team members and supports employee engagement
  • Coaching & mentoring skills and the ability to handle personnel issues
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Adequate knowledge of informational systems & ability to analyze data
  • Experience working in the Glass Manufacturing Industry
  • Cold End Experience Preferred
  • High School Degree or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Production or Operations Management, Engineering, Business, or other related disciplines
  • Experience supervising/leading people and processes in manufacturing
  • Glass industry experience required

Pay

The expected salary range for this position is between $120,000 - $130,000 and includes a possible 15% short-term incentive bonus. Actual pay will be adjusted based upon candidate experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
