About the role

In the role of Unit Manager- Quality Process Lab in Albany, GA, you will lead and motivate a team of microbiological, analytical, and sensory specialists to ensure effective operation of the quality process lab in the brewery. You will enable and oversee brewery teams’ compliance with microbiological, analytical, and sensory analyses on products, raw materials, and in-process materials per the Quality Management System. Utilizing WCSC principles and work practices, you will drive toward world-class quality results, develop and improve laboratory techniques, procedures, methodology, and instrumentation, and serve as a resource/coach for established quality standards and procedures. You will partner with operations to improve process and product quality, provide data interpretation and expertise to various operational areas, and manage the budget and cost of assigned areas while adhering to all rules, regulations, policies, programs, and the Quality Management System.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 10-20 talented colleagues, supporting their growth and development through career discussions and consistent one-on-one conversations.
• Lead and coordinate a team performing analytical, microbiological, and sensory analyses.
• Develop, train, and coach lab employees, lead team performance, talent, and career management, and create a culture of employee engagement.
• Facilitate and lead continuous improvement efforts in the lab and the brewery, modeling Molson Coors Manufacturing Way best practices.
• Partner with operations to enhance process and product quality.
• Provide data interpretation and expertise linking microbiological, analytical, and sensory results with a thorough understanding of brewing and packaging.
• Manage budget and cost for assigned areas.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in science or a related field OR equivalent experience (4+ years). Professional Quality Certification is preferred.
• At least 5-8 years of lab experience.
• Strong leadership skills with a focus on collaboration, respect for differences, and fostering a winning team culture.
• Ability to complete complex projects quickly with a clear understanding of business priorities.

Pay

Posting salary range: $97,400.00 - $127,900.00, plus a 15% target short-term incentive. On average, $23,000 is spent on benefits per employee, including health, dental, vision, retirement with above-market employer match, wellness incentives, and EAP.
