As a Unit Manager - LPN, you will make a difference in the lives of patients through care and compassion, act as a positive teammate, and coordinate resident and non-resident care.
Responsibilities
- Develop and distribute written nursing assignments outlining resident care and other duties for each shift.
- Describe care plan goals and approaches to direct care staff to ensure consistent implementation across all shifts.
- Seek input from nurse aides about resident condition, functional abilities, preferences, and alternative care approaches.
- Monitor delivery of care and services throughout the shift to ensure resident needs are met and tasks are completed accurately and timely.
- Ensure complete and accurate resident documentation and that the work of direct care staff meets quality and quantity standards.
Requirements
- Demonstrates C.A.R.E. values to residents, family members, customers, and staff.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Two years of nursing experience providing direct care in long-term care, acute care, restorative, or geriatric nursing settings.
- One year of supervisory/management experience with direct care staff.
- Current active state licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and/or Registered Nurse (RN).
- Current CPR Certification.
