Unit Manager

About the role

As a Unit Manager, you will assist in the planning, organizing, development, and direction of the overall operation of the Nursing Services Department. Your work will ensure the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times, in accordance with facility guidelines and regulations, and as directed by the Administrator and/or Director of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to facility policies and procedures
• Work "on call" or beyond normal working hours as required
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate resident services
• Ensure proper scheduling of nursing staff
• Create and maintain a positive environment for residents and staff
• Direct staff in meeting charting requirements and other documentation standards
