Unit Educator - Cancer Center

Position Title: Unit Educator - Cancer Center Role Overview: This clinical nurse and unit leader collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure safe, evidence-based, and quality patient care across multiple locations. They support staffing strategies, mentor staff, assess learning needs, and implement educational activities. The educator facilitates orientation, promotes professional development, models best practices, and participates in policy review. They support performance improvement initiatives and ensure documentation compliance. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with team for patient safety, mentor staff, assess learning needs, organize orientation, promote ongoing education, support quality initiatives, and model evidence-based practice. Qualifications & Skills: Requires a nursing license, BLS certification, a high school diploma and a BSN (or enrollment within 6 months if ADN). Preferred: Master’s degree. Ability to perform clinical competencies and support performance improvement methodologies is essential. This role involves leadership, teaching, and ensuring high standards of patient care and staff development.
