Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain electronic and paper medical records, ensuring accuracy and chart integrity
- Assemble medical records for patient discharges and transfers, including scheduling follow-up appointments
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the unit by answering phones, welcoming visitors, and assisting nursing staff and providers
- Manage unit supply inventory by monitoring expiration dates, placing special orders, and requisitioning supplies as needed
Requirements
- Associate’s degree preferred
- Minimum of three (3) years of responsible business experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Certification as a Unit Coordinator preferred
- Working knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
- BLS certification within 30 days of hire
