Unit Coordinator - Emergency Department at UH Lakewood Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. Full-time position, 32 hours per week.

As the heartbeat of our department’s administrative operations, you’ll be the master of coordination—handling requests, assisting staff, patients, and visitors, and keeping everything running like a well-oiled machine. You’ll maintain spreadsheets, track logs, and craft reports that turn numbers into actionable insights. As the trusted right-hand to our Department Director and Clinical Team Manager, you’ll help keep our team on the path to success.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate administrative operations within the Emergency Department
• Handle requests and assist staff, patients, and visitors
• Maintain spreadsheets, track logs, and create reports
• Support the Department Director and Clinical Team Manager

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Fluency in English
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

Qualifications

• Experience as a unit clerk or in a medical support role (preferred)
• Knowledge of medical terminology or relevant coursework (a plus)
