Unit Clerk - NICU

About the role

The Unit Clerk primary purpose is to provide clerical and receptionist duties to the nursing unit. The unit clerk position is a support role to nursing, thereby decreasing the clerical duties of the nurse.

Responsibilities

• Evidence customer service by being courteous to our customers, including patients, visitors, physicians, volunteers, and fellow employees.
• Introduce self by name and job title when speaking in person or by telephone to patients, their families, and others.
• Demonstrate honesty, discretion, and confidentiality in all work environments.
• Follow standards of conduct and procedures of the hospital and applicable laws and regulations, reporting violations through the appropriate chain of command.
• Report safety concerns and hazardous conditions in a timely and appropriate manner.
