Unit Clerk 8:00am- 4:30pm
Job Summary
The Unit Clerk assists the nursing and medical staff by performing a variety of service activities and clerical tasks that ensures the efficiency of the patient care unit. Provides services to nurses, physicians, healthcare workers, patients, families, and visitors. Gathers, processes admissions, discharges, and transfers of patients, organizes the unit, and maintains unit supplies and equipment, maintains a safe environment, communicates effectively, and utilizes technology. Also advocates for the patient and participates in performance improvement.
Qualifications
- High School Graduate or GED required
- Demonstrated ability to use a computer
- Complete all required initial and annual orientation and computer training classes
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support Card (BLS) preferred
