About the role
Lincoln Park Healthcare Campus is seeking a Unit Clerk CNA to join our Amazing Nursing Staff.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates and assists with communications for staff, clerical paperwork and oversight of residents
- Gains cooperation and support from CNAs, Behavioral Health team, Recreation, Security and others
- Performs a variety of duties in maintaining and updating resident files and clinical supplies
- Performs other duties as assigned based on facility policies and procedures as regulated by the State of NJ and Federal regulations
- Responsible for intervening, intercepting, and documenting behavioral issues residents may display including but not limited to physical altercations (hitting, biting, scratching, spitting), verbal altercations (yelling and/or screaming), and other threatening behaviors towards staff, peers, or self
- Monitors the competency and compliance of CNAs to Lincoln Park Health Care Standards of practice and policies and procedures
Qualifications
- High school graduate
- Ability to read, write and comprehend English
- Excellent computer skills
Preferred qualifications
- Health Care experience/medical terminology
- Course work or experience with de-escalation of stressful situations
