Position Overview

As the Unit-Based Nurse Educator, you will partner closely with nursing leadership, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams. You will support unit orientation, ongoing education and competencies, and quality and compliance initiatives. You will also serve as a trusted clinical resource for frontline staff.

What You'll Do

• Lead orientation for new Cardiac ICU/CCU nurses
• Coordinate annual education and regulatory requirements
• Deliver training on advanced cardiac technologies including: Intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP), Impella devices, and Mechanical circulatory support
• Support competency validation and clinical skill development
• Collaborate on quality, safety, and performance improvement initiatives
• Promote a culture of continuous learning and clinical excellence
• Provide flexibility for occasional nights and weekends to meet unit needs

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Active Registered Nurse license from the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Minimum of 3 years of cardiac specialty nursing experience

Preferred Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in education, training, or staff development

Technical Expertise

• Advanced cardiac technologies, including: Balloon Pumps, Impella, and IABP
