Orthopedic Medical Unit | Day Shift, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
About the Role
Perform administrative and clerical duties in support of an assigned clinical area. Greet patients and visitors, answer/screen/route telephone calls, file, distribute mail, and perform other general clerical duties. Communicate with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare team members about patient care according to protocol. Schedule patients for individual appointments in a timely manner. Provide assistance with programs/software for physicians/clinicians through order entry processes, transfers, and discharges. Assemble and maintain patient charts. Coordinate meetings/schedule meetings and rooms with appropriate personnel, send notices as requested, and maintain meeting minutes. Enter and maintain timekeeping changes and staff schedules in computer systems.
Requirements
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
- Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
