Responsibilities

  • Gathering Information: Accurately review patient registration details, collect necessary forms, and complete EMR intake documentation
  • Coordinating Care: Prepare surgical orders, schedule lab tests and diagnostic procedures, obtain test results, and manage medical clearances for surgeries
  • Communication and Follow-Up: Manage patient callbacks regarding messages, prescriptions, and referrals; monitor and respond to physician queues
  • DME Support: Demonstrate proper fitting and usage of durable medical equipment (DME) like braces and soft goods when needed

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate of an accredited Certified Nursing Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, or Certified Ortho Tech program (or equivalent experience)
  • 1+ year of medical office experience preferred
  • Experience with electronic medical records systems (Epic preferred)
  • Positive attitude, strong organizational skills, and ability to multitask effectively
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong sense of professionalism and patient confidentiality

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent

Graduate of an accredited Certified Nursing Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, or Certified Ortho Tech program (or equivalent experience)

1+ year of medical office experience preferred

Experience with electronic medical records systems (Epic preferred)

Positive attitude, strong organizational skills, and ability to multitask effectively
