Unit Assistant/Nursing Assistant (CNA)

About the role

The Unit Assistant/Nursing Assistant is responsible for providing direct patient care in a healthcare setting. This includes assisting with daily living activities, medication administration, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal hygiene and grooming tasks
• Administer medications as per doctor’s orders
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of patient rooms
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and report any changes to the nursing staff
• Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure patient needs are met

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current certification as a Nursing Assistant or completion of a relevant training program
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if applicable)
• Excellent communication skills

Qualifications

• Experience in a healthcare setting preferred
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
