Schedule
- 36 hours per week
- 8-hour day shift, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Responsibilities
- Performs administrative and clerical duties in support of an assigned clinical area
- Greets patients, visitors, and new admissions
- Answers general inquiries and schedules patients for appointments
- Answers, screens, and routes telephone calls
- Performs general clerical duties including filing, email correspondence, and mail distribution
- Creates various reports and documents as assigned
- Helps patients/residents with basic technology and social media
- Communicates with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare team members about patient care
- Performs unit safety checks
- Assists with meeting patient needs and escalates as appropriate
- May assist with meals, pass and collect trays, pass out activities, and transport patients/residents through facility
- May assist with stocking supplies and keeping unit and patient rooms clean and orderly
- May maintain staff schedules and timekeeping as assigned
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required
- Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable
- Preferred use of administrative skills in a hospital setting
