Union Driver - CDL A

About the Role

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to deliver and recover a variety of equipment, tools and supplies to and from customer worksites. This role generally drives a Class A truck hauling equipment on a flatbed (dovetail) or RGN (lowboy) trailer in a variety of conditions, including urban, suburban, and rural settings. Ability to drive safely in tight settings such as construction zones is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and recover equipment, tools, and supplies to and from customer worksites
• Drive Class A trucks hauling equipment on flatbed (dovetail) or RGN (lowboy) trailers
• Navigate a variety of driving conditions including urban, suburban, and rural settings
• Drive safely in tight settings such as construction zones

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Valid Driver's license with CDL License and acceptable driver's record

Skills

• Prior training and/or experience with similar commercial equipment preferred
• Experience driving flat-beds, RGN/lowboy, or dovetail trailers
• Ability to troubleshoot and make minor repairs to equipment and vehicle at job sites
• Customer service attitude

Physical Demands

• Bending, squatting, crouching, reaching
• Lifting 50 pounds or more
• Working indoors/outdoors when required by the job

Pay

$36.38 - $38.38 per hour. The hourly wage depends on the agreed rate under the terms of the collective bargaining agreement for this location.
