Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Makes measurements and fits Team Members in proper uniforms.
- Completes accurate orders for uniform adjustments.
- Operates a sewing machine to repair and alter uniforms as needed.
- Receives clean uniforms from the laundry, sorts and places in proper location for distribution to Team Members.
- Scans barcode on uniforms issued to Team Members when they pick up their uniforms.
- Prints assignment reports and maintains an effective filing and retrieval system of uniform paperwork.
- Inventories uniforms; maintains records of inventories and laundry charges according to established policies and procedures.
- Sorts and separates soiled uniforms and sends to laundry.
- Assists in cleaning and maintenance of the work areas.
- Attends and participates in regularly scheduled staff meetings.
- Responds to Team Member’s requests in a prompt and professional manner; contacts supervisor as needed.
- Contributes to a team effort and accomplishes related results as required.
- Provides alterations to uniforms.
- Provides lockers, uniforms, and other accessories as needed.
- Keeps uniform office open at all times.
- Inventory incoming and outgoing uniforms and related items.
- Keeps Team Members files updated.
- Affords assistance to Human Resources with processing for departing Team Members.
- Works varying hours and schedules.
- Provides prompt, courteous service to Team Members at all times following the casino’s guest service standards.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent is required, unless waived by Human Resources Management.
- Requires basic computer skills and clerical experience, ability to type and answer phones, excellent communication, interpersonal skills, basic sewing skills, and ability to work independently with little to no supervision.
- Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen, background investigation, obtain and maintain gaming license.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of basic math and arithmetic.
- Skill in records management.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to operate a sewing machine.
- Ability to make clothing alterations and proper uniform fitting.
- Ability to interact and maintain good working relationships with individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds.
- Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with co-workers at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and meet strict time lines.
- Ability to demonstrate excellence in everything, and continually seek improvement in results.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written and oral form.
Physical Demands
- Frequently required to talk and hear, stand, walk, sit, use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
- Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 30 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
- While performing the duties of this position, the work environment is indoors with a moderate to low noise level and employee may be exposed to cigarette smoke.
