About the role
The UNICEF USA National Youth Council Volunteer Program supports the club and volunteer network, advocates for policy change, and amplifies youth voices.
Responsibilities
- Elevate Youth Voice: Represent UNICEF USA and speak at events and meetings locally and nationally. Create social content for UUSA's social media channels.
- Support Youth & Volunteer Programs: Provide feedback and insights on engaging young people in social justice work. Inform strategic initiatives and campaigns.
- Educate and Motivate: Lead projects to educate and inform youth, volunteers, and staff on topics important to young people and UNICEF's work. Amplify youth voice through media and write thought pieces.
- Build Community: Build relationships with fellow council members, Youth Representatives, UNICEF Clubs, manage the Slack community, and host digital conversations with students.
Requirements
- Age 14-24 and live in the US during the term.
- Interest in community organizing, advocacy, and youth-led action.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Reliable access to the internet and a device for virtual meetings.
