Underwriting Technician, Property

Duties & Responsibilities

• Support underwriters with all activities related to account development
• Build electronic files and ensure file integrity
• Coincide policy issuance and liaise with Operations team
• Triage broker submissions and ensure all required underwriting data is accurate
• Draft quotes and binders and review with underwriters
• Correspond with brokers; follow up on outstanding information
• Assist as a liaison between Underwriter and Operations Teams

Qualifications, Skills And Experience

• 1-5 years relevant experience
• Commercial insurance experience a plus
• Understanding of policy construction, regulatory requirements, rating and policy issuance
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proven attention to detail
• Must be proactive and able to work within a team environment
• Ability to support and enhance workflow and process
• Strong communication skills; both verbal and written
• Strong willingness to learn
• BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
• Strong competency in MS Office applications
