Responsibilities

  • Provide quality administrative support to underwriters and agencies by rating and entering transactions into established systems for commercial lines.
  • Work within standard operating procedures and established practices to deliver timely customer service to underwriters and agencies.
  • Rate and enter transactions for commercial lines business with a primary focus on operations.
  • Act as the starting point for the department’s transactions and quickly determine the appropriate area for direction.
  • Maintain accurate and current records in designated systems accessible to others.
  • Update routine reports and assess information for clarity.

Requirements

  • Ability to proofread written and electronic documents to identify and correct errors.
  • Intermediate Word and Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to make independent business decisions when required.
  • Ability to manage a heavy workflow of incoming transactions.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications (Preferred)

  • Previous insurance experience (preferred but not required).
  • Basic knowledge of PointIn system and/or similar policy administrative systems (preferred).
  • Interest in continuing to grow and learn in the insurance industry.
  • Coursework toward AINS certification (preferred).

Pay

The full hiring range for this role is $19.46 - $25.69 hourly. Base pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, credentials, experience, and other factors such as scope and location of the role.
