About the Opportunity:The UNDERWRITING ASSISTANT (PROPERTY FOCUS) role supports the underwriting team by facilitating efficient processing of Excess & Surplus (E&S) insurance submissions, particularly in Property and related lines such as Inland Marine and Builder's Risk. This position contributes to building a profitable E&S book by ensuring that underwriting transactions proceed smoothly and brokers receive timely support, thereby enhancing the overall operational efficiency and service quality of the program. Responsibilities:Support underwriters with technical E&S underwriting tasks across multiple lines of businessManage submission processes, including review for completeness and account clearanceFacilitate communication and information gathering from brokers and internal teamsOrganize and maintain documentation related to underwriting transactionsAssist with underwriting data analysis and submission triage to prioritize opportunitiesBalance multiple priorities to meet deadlines and support underwriting objectives Requirements:Experience in E&S underwriting support, especially in Property linesFamiliarity with Inland Marine, Builder's Risk, or Property coverage supportKnowledge of submission process management and underwriting guidelinesAbility to obtain required information from brokers and manage file documentationStrong organizational and multitasking skillsUnderstanding of underwriting appetites and delegated authorities Pay Range and Compensation Package:The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate's experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
