Underwriting Assistant, Primary Casualty

Position Summary The Underwriting Assistant, Primary Casualty is a team player performing tasks that directly support the Primary Casualty product line underwriters. The role focuses on front-to-end activities throughout the lifecycle of prospect accounts and renewal from submission to expiration. These tasks will be performed with guidance from the Lead Underwriting Assistant, Casualty. Responsibilities Set up new & renewal business quotes for underwritersPrepare new & renewal business bindersInteract with brokers for missing informationMonitor various reports for consistencyPolicy issuance and endorsement processingInitiate and follow through with requests for missing informationAssist in accounting procedures such as invoicingData entry into multiple SaaS systemsAnswer incoming callsMulti-task between projects Qualifications Minimum 3 years insurance underwriting support experience (agency or company) in Primary Casualty lines of businessStrong written and verbal communication skillsExpertise in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel spreadsheetsExcellent attention to detailHigh-level of motivation to get things doneWilling to take on challengesAble to prioritize important and pressing tasksInnate organizational skills, and focus on personal responsibilityRemote and limited in-office work environment
