Underwriting Assistant
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative assistance to executive and staff underwriters.
- Aid with projects for the Surety Group home office.
- Assist with tasks and projects during the first 30 days.
- Proactively work with various documents, systems, records, and information.
- Communicate with internal and external parties through emails, memos, and calls.
- Generate indemnity agreements, pull reports from various sources, and assist with agency relationships.
- Anticipate underwriting needs and support executives and underwriters.
Qualifications
- Two or more years of relevant and progressive experience.
- Customer service mindset – eager to help, regardless of the task.
- Quick to understand technical information.
- Initiative to anticipate the needs of others.
- Commitment to help others succeed.
- Teamwork, planning, and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills.
- Facility with using programs, systems, and gathering information from multiple sources.
The Los Angeles home office is comprised of a collaborative team of professionals. The reasonable pay range for this specific position is $25.44 to $34.97 per hour.
