Underwriting Assistant

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze underwriting information to determine requested coverages and resolve discrepancies.
• Issue policies and endorsements on time, ensuring accurate state-specific forms and compliance.
• Collect and verify documentation for proof of insurance, financial responsibility, and motor carrier filings.
• Collaborate with clients, brokers, and regulators to resolve Workers’ Compensation compliance issues.
• Manage internal and external information requests, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
• Provide tax location data to the Statistical department in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley timelines.
• Calculate and process audit endorsements in line with company service standards.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• One to two years of office, administrative, or insurance-related experience.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Clear communication skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Enthusiasm for learning and making an impact.
