Underground Utility Construction Superintendent

Responsibilities

• Supervise multiple underground utility construction and rehabilitation projects simultaneously.
• Manage and coordinate field crews to ensure efficient project execution.
• Oversee installation of underground water and sewer utilities.
• Coordinate construction activities with project managers, engineers, inspectors, and clients.
• Plan and monitor project schedules to ensure timely completion.
• Supervise pump station construction and rehabilitation activities.
• Oversee bypass pumping operations during utility construction.
• Coordinate testing, sterilization, and commissioning of water and sewer systems.
• Monitor project quality and ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Enforce OSHA safety regulations and company safety policies.
• Promote effective communication among field personnel and project stakeholders.
• Resolve field issues and support efficient project execution.
• Manage equipment, materials, and subcontractor activities as required.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and daily reports.
• Support underground utility rehabilitation methods, including pipe bursting when applicable.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in underground water and sewer construction.
• Experience managing multiple construction projects and field crews simultaneously.
• Strong knowledge of underground utility construction and rehabilitation.
• Experience with water and sewer infrastructure installation.
• Experience with pump stations, bypass pumping, testing, and sterilization.
• Pipe bursting experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
• Ability to coordinate with project managers, engineers, inspectors, and other stakeholders.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.
• Ability to provide a reliable ¾-ton truck with insurance (vehicle allowance provided).
