Teaching Assistant

• Provide Guidance To Students:
  • Class/lab work
  • Grade quizzes
  • Set up experiments
  • Take down experiments
  • Hold office hours
  • Hold problem solving sessions
  • Affix to classroom instruction, records, and assignments
  • Lead student discussion sections
  • Meeting with students during office hours
  • Conferencing with students individually or in small groups
  • Delivering lectures or guest lectures
  • Grading assignments or papers
  • Managing course communications
  • Preparing laboratory materials
  • Recording and calculating grades
• Laboratory Assistant:
  • Enforce laboratory rules and procedures
  • Take attendance and monitor participation
  • Obtain and distribute course materials
  • Order course textbooks and monitor supply
  • Conduct research for the professor
  • Keep student records

Minimum Qualifications

Current student at New College of Florida.
