Lab Assistant - Undergraduate Internship

About the role
Eitr currently has an opening for a full-time Undergraduate Internship position in the Research and Development group, requiring the qualifications and responsibilities listed below.
Requirements
- Basic Qualifications
- Completed High School with at least a 4.0 GPA
- Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student with a major related to Biological Sciences
- Familiarity with basic laboratory equipment (e.g., micropipette, pipetman, scales, etc.)
- Ability to follow written procedures/protocols precisely
- Good communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills are essential, along with a commitment to integrity, professionalism, and collegiality
- PREFERRED Qualifications
- Completed some High School AP science and math courses
- Completed some undergraduate science and math courses
- Some knowledge of protein biochemistry
- Some knowledge and interest in infectious diseases, both viral and/or bacterial
Responsibilities
- Maintains common lab supply stocks of consumables, buffers, reagents and other materials as needed
- Cleaning and autoclaving lab glassware
- Prepares buffers, reagents, and other materials necessary for experiments
- Properly aliquots, stores and labels samples as directed
- Other duties as assigned

Compensation & Benefits
- Compensation: This is a full-time role (40 hours/week). Eitr expects compensation for this role to be $17.75 per hour.
- Paid Time Off (PTO): Includes vacation, sick, and holiday time
